Please join the East Side Bike Club on Saturday, May 18th as we ride to remember and honor the victims from the 5/14 2022 mass shooting at the Tops Market on Jefferson Ave. Once again, bike ride groups and friends from all over the area will join the East Side Bike Club at 9:30am at Martin Luther King Park’s head statue and ride at 10am through the neighborhood with a stop at the newly opened Tops Honor Space on Jefferson Ave.
The horrors of the 5/14 shooting continue shake us all. The Saturday after that awful day in 2022, the East Side Bike Club anchored a solidarity ride. Bike groups from around the city and region came together as one for a bike ride to demonstrate that the community stands together, despite a horrible act designed to divide us. That unity was possible due to Western New York bike community’s determination to demonstrate that we are indeed one. We reaffirm those bonds on Saturday by riding together once more to show that we will indeed never forget.
