July 19th was the final Skyride. We were proud to once again take part in this gathering of the WNY Bike Community to support GoBike and their efforts to make the region more bike friendly.
In preparation for the East Side Garden Walk this weekend, our headquarters on East Delevan (shared with Buffalo United Front and the Friends of Freedom Park) received a little TLC to show us off properly. Join us this Saturday for a special ESBC ride at 10am to tour some of the beautiful East Side Gardens!
We hit the streets on July 11th for our weekly ride and headed to North Buffalo for the first time this season. Coming up this week is a ride celebrating the East Side Garden Walk, but check out what you might have missed on our Hertel Ave. foray.
We celebrated Juneteenth with a special ride honoring cycling legend Major Taylor! Started at Freedom Park, we rode through Buffalo to the historic Broadway Barn (formerly the Velodrome) where Taylor often competed. The parade to kick off the Buffalo Juneteenth celebration got an extra boost with bike marshalls from the East Side Bike Club. The celebration is one of the biggest in the nation and we are honored to help out with some Bike mounted crowd control so everybody is able to enjoy the always wonderful parade.
