On Saturday, May 16th at 10am, East Side Bike Club begins a new season of bike rides. Every Saturday, riders meet at the Martin Luther King Statue in MLK Park for a no-cost, 10-12 mile bike ride through different parts of the area. Riders of all abilities are welcome and encouraged to join. The club rides at a relaxed pace suitable for all participants so all riders may enjoy their fellow riding company and see more of the city.
For the opening ride, the club will host its annual “Solidarity Ride” bringing together biking groups from across the region in observance of the 2022 shooting at the Tops store on Jefferson Ave, showing that we are together as one. It is the 5th Solidarity Ride encompassing many of the cycling groups in Western New York.
Rides continue every Saturday through mid-October and are open to everyone and all abilities.
