To celebrate the kick off of this season’s Parks Adventure Bus series on Saturday, East Side Bike Club’s Simon Husted led 20 East Side Bike Club members on a special 24-mile bike ride between MLK Jr Park and Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve and then Como Lake Park. Both were stops along today’s Parks Adventure Bus, a seasonal service by NFTA Metro that shuttles folks for free every Saturday to distant county and state parks. While snacking at Como Lake Park, Simon demonstrated to the group how to rack a bike on one of the metro buses, inspiring a rider to try it out and enjoy a free ride back downtown.
