On Saturday, October 10, East Side Bike Club hosted the third Can-Am ride. Beginning in Freedom Park at the Foot of Ferry in Buffalo, ESBC, along with some help from Slow Roll Buffalo, led hundreds of riders down to the Peace Bridge and crossed over in Fort Erie, Ontario. We stopped at Freedom Park in Fort Erie for a coffee break with Fort Erie officials, Canadian bike shops, the Rotary Club of Fort Erie, before heading out on a 10 mile through Fort Erie and the Friendship Trail that runs along the lake front from the Waverly Beach area back to the Peace Bridge and returning back to Buffalo’s Freedom Park for a communal lunch.
Niagara River Greenway and GoBike were great cohosts for the event We also had invaluable help from the Rotary Clubs of Buffalo and Fort Erie, Slow Roll Buffalo, Wheels for Workers, Reddy Bikeshare, The Peace Bridge Authority, Niagara Parks, Campus Wheelworks, Slow Spokes Buffalo and Friends of Freedom Park.
